1A. Definitions and who we are

Some words in these Terms have specific meanings. Please refer to the Jirany Definitions section within our Terms of Service for explanations of key terms used throughout this document.

When you book an accommodation through Jirany, Jirany Getaway Solutions provides and is responsible for operating the online platform that enables bookings, but does not provide the accommodation or travel experience itself (see section 1B below).

Jirany Getaway Solutions is a business registered under the laws of Kenya in accordance with the Registration of Business Names Act (Cap. 499).
Business Registration Number: BN-OVSK6AV9.

1B. How does our service work?

Jirany makes it easy for guests to search, compare, and book accommodations offered by property owners, hosts, and other accommodation providers (“Service Providers”).

When you make a booking on the Jirany platform, you enter into a direct agreement with the relevant Service Provider, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Jirany acts solely as an intermediary facilitating the booking process.

The information displayed on our platform is based on details provided by Service Providers. While we make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and up to date, certain information—such as descriptions, availability, pricing, and amenities—may take time to update.

1C. Who do we work with?

Only Service Providers who have entered into a contractual relationship with Jirany are permitted to list accommodations on our platform. These Service Providers may also offer their services through other channels outside of Jirany.

Jirany does not own, manage, or operate any accommodations listed on the platform. Each listing is offered by an independent Service Provider who is responsible for their property and services.

Our platform displays accommodations that can be booked through Jirany, and search results are presented based on relevance to the information you provide, such as location, dates, and number of guests.

1D. How do we make money?

Jirany does not buy, resell, or provide accommodations directly. Instead, we earn revenue by charging Service Providers a commission for completed bookings made through our platform.

Some properties may be part of promotional or preferred placement programs, meaning the Service Provider pays a higher commission for increased visibility. Listings marked as “Featured” indicate paid promotion by the Service Provider.

Notes on Compliance & Trust

• Jirany operates as a marketplace intermediary, not an accommodation provider.
• All bookings are subject to the Service Provider’s terms, house rules, and cancellation policies.
• Jirany complies with applicable Kenyan business registration requirements.
